Battery regulation
Consumer Responsibilities
Batteries and rechargeable batteries of any kind (including those permanently installed in devices) must not be disposed of with household waste.
Consumers are legally required to dispose of used batteries at appropriate collection points provided by retailers or by city and municipal authorities.
Used batteries may contain hazardous substances or heavy metals that can harm the environment and human health.
In addition, batteries contain important raw materials, such as iron, zinc, manganese, and nickel, which are recycled through separate disposal.
Used batteries can also be dropped off at our location free of charge or sent to us with sufficient postage.
