Answer: |
How do I remove the front panel from my case? |
Most of our front panels are simply plugged in and can be removed with a bold tug after you have reached into the front panel from below. To be on the safe side, check again to make sure that there are really no screws securing the front panel on the inside left and right.

Question: |
Answer: |
The I/O shield does not fit 1U server cases. |
This is normal and cannot be changed. This is because the standard specifies a height of 44.5 mm for 19-inch 1U enclosures, whereas I/O shields have a height of 45 mm. Consequently, the I/O shield supplied by the motherboard manufacturer will not fit. Therefore, we include a universal I/O shield, from which the necessary cutouts can be punched out of the perforated metal sheet. For orders of 50 units or more, we also manufacture custom-fitted I/O shields. For this, we require an original shield to serve as a sample. |

Cooler/Fan
Question: |
Answer: |
AIO water cooling is not working, CPU is too hot. |
This can have several causes: 1. The pump requires a constant 12 volts. If it's connected to a temperature-controlled fan header on the motherboard, it will only start running when the temperature reaches 70 degrees Celsius or higher. Furthermore, this will eventually damage the pump motor. 2. The power settings for your CPU are incorrectly configured in the motherboard BIOS. This is often the case with Intel CPUs of generation 12 or higher. Therefore, use the latest BIOS version and check the values in the BIOS, correcting them if necessary. Excessive voltage can heat the CPU very quickly after power-on, potentially causing permanent damage. It takes some time for the temperature to rise from the core to the CPU's heat spreader. If the CPU overheats just a few seconds after being switched on, even water cooling won't be able to cool it down that quickly. |
Question: |
Answer: |
Is an all-in-one (AIO) water cooling system useful in server cases? |
No. 1. Since the radiator can only be mounted inside the case, it blows the warm air back over the components that are supposed to be cooled. 2. The coolers in a server case are often positioned in such a way that an AIO cooler cannot be properly mounted. 3. Even an AIO water cooler constantly loses some coolant and, due to continuous use in a server, will most likely no longer be 100% functional after about four years. 4. The components in a server are often significantly more expensive. A burst hose can quickly lead to damage in the high three-figure range, if not four figures. |
KVM
Question: |
Answer: |
The hot key described in the manual does not work. |
Some KVMs are programmed with an incorrect default hot key during production. First try the "Scroll Lock" hot key. To change it, follow the instructions in the next FAQ. |
| For reasons of storage space and because we rarely (or rather never) get the necessary internal information from the keyboard manufacturers to program suitable drivers, the KVM can only communicate directly with standard USB HID devices. What we really mean here are devices that comply with the USB standard. It is therefore often irrelevant what is in the device manager of the operating system. In principle, the keyboard and mouse are emulated on the PC's port. Therefore, both the keyboard and mouse are equally affected by this restriction. So if the keyboard works within the operating system but the hot key does not, your keyboard does not comply with the USB standard for HID devices. |
Question: |
Answer: |
HOW CAN I CHANGE THE HOT KEYS OF MY AS-XX/KS-XX SERIES KVM SWITCH? |
To change the hot keys, first disconnect the KVM switch completely from the computer. Now you need a USB charger (like the one that usually comes with your smartphone). Now connect a PC USB port on the KVM switch to the USB charger to power the KVM switch. |
|
Now connect your keyboard to the USB port of the KVM switch. The keyboard must be connected to the back of the KVM switch. If a USB port is marked with a keyboard symbol, this must be used. The following hot keys can be selected::
To switch from 1 ( + ) to 2 ( + ) press + + in the order given at the same time. To switch from 1 ( + ) to 3 ( + ) first presst + + simultaneously (to change to 2 ( + )) then press + + quickly. To change from + to + , press + + quickly, and to change back to + press + + quickly. * Depending on the model and speaker setting, each change is confirmed with a beep. |
